Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Qatari national holding Power International plans to build a multi-network hospital in Tashkent. This was reported by Dunyo news agency.

Employees of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Doha met with the chief commercial director of the largest healthcare company in Qatar, Elegancia Healthcare, Desmond Donnelly. Elegancia Healthcare is part of the Power International holding.

Desmond Donnelly got acquainted with information about the reforms being carried out in the healthcare system of Uzbekistan, in particular, to protect public health, create the necessary conditions for increasing the capacity of medical workers, increasing the coverage and quality of medical services.

The parties discussed plans for the construction of a multi-network hospital in Tashkent.

The Qatari company is expected to complete the preparation of primary documentation by the end of January. The development of a feasibility study is scheduled to begin in March of this year.

The project of a multi-network hospital with 300 beds will be implemented within the framework of a public-private partnership.

Elegancia Healthcare also announced the hiring of Uzbek citizens and agreed to employ Uzbek doctors and nurses in several hospitals in Qatar.
