Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 January 2023, the founder of Qanot Sharq Nosir Abdugafarov and the Director of Qanot Sharq Moses Pak, at the invitation of the Czech Embassy in Tashkent, held talks with the leadership of the Prague International Airport.

From the Czech side, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Vaclav Jilek, Ambassador-Counsellor of the Embassy Roman Masaryk, Director of Aviation Business at Prague International Airport Jaroslav Filip, Air Route Development Manager at Prague International Airport Martin Tatek took part.

As part of the negotiations, presentations of the background of relations between the Czech Republic and Uzbekistan, the activities of the Prague International Airport and the private Uzbek airline Qanot Sharq took place. The main topic of the meeting was a project aimed at resuming direct flights between Tashkent and Prague, in which tourists, students and businessmen are interested.

“Flights to Prague are a hot topic, your project coincides with our plans, and today’s meeting is an opportunity to discuss the details of flights between our cities,” Nosir Abdugafarov said.

The parties analyzed the issues of cooperation within the framework of the project. The Czech side offered a program of discounts and advertising support, voiced its readiness to provide contact information for the heads of tourism and other companies leading in the aviation sector.

Having stated the coincidence of interests, the parties agreed to study in more detail the relevant forms of interaction and consider the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement.
