Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Yakkasaray district administration in Tashkent has unveiled a redevelopment project for Pushkin Square, which was presented to local residents.

The project includes expanded greening of the public space, the construction of a canopy with swings, the installation of children’s playgrounds, and the creation of a jogging track. An artificial waterfall and several new water features will be added to the existing fountain.

The statue of the poet will remain in its current location, surrounded by flower beds and shaded relaxation areas.

The project developer is Koс Construction.

Nearby, Shota Rustaveli Street will be transformed into one of the capital’s main gastronomic streets. As part of the redevelopment, the street will feature a bike lane, new bus stops, and ramps for the convenience of wheelchair users and women with children.
