Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Based on the decree of the capital’s khokimiyat, from 1 January 2022, the tariff for one passenger in Tashkent will increase from 1,400 soums to 1,700 soums. It is also planned to increase the cost of the baggage transportation service - up to 3,000 soums, the capital’s khokimiyat reports.
Additionally, it is planned to revise the cost of tariffs and introduce a limit on the number of trips when using transport cards (at the moment, the number of trips and transfers is not limited).
Thus, on a transport card, one trip will cost 1,300 soums on average (29,000 soums for 22 trips). This measure will reduce the volume of cash turnover, according to the capital’s administration.
It is also expected that this should ensure the transparency of the collection of fees, significantly increase the number of transport card users and income received.
The city’s transport department was instructed to make additions to the tender agreements concluded with the relevant organizations and enterprises engaged in passenger transportation within 10 days.
