MPs, representatives of ministries, public organizations, scholars, lawyers and experts participated at the meeting.

Public fund on support of non-governmental and non-commercial organizations and other civil society institutes under the Oliy Majlis conduct various grant competition to help implement various ideas and initiatives.

Some 713 social projects from 560 NGOs were submitted to the competitions. Some 107 projects received 1.5 billion soums.

To grant competitions on implementation of tasks in the State programme “The Year of Family” and social-economic development, some 107 civil society institutes submitted 120 projects.

About 25 best projects, directed at supporting young families, women and girls, development of small businesses, received 339.3 million.

Some 83 NGOs submitted 97 projects to grant competition on increasing scientific-technical, creative-intellectual potential of youth. Some 30 projects will receive financial assistance.

During the session, the participants discussed transparency, openness and objectiveness of use of resources at implementation of projects, monitoring targeted use of resources, strengthening cooperation of NGOs with the state bodies, etc.

Parliamentary commission adopted decision to announce another grant competition, directed at increasing activity of NGOs and population in protection environment and health of population, rational use of natural resources.
