Protocol to Convention between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands on avoidance of double taxation comes into force

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 December 2017, a Protocol on amendments to the Convention between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands on avoiding double taxation and preventing evasion on income and capital taxes from 18 October 2001, will come into force, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The Protocol to the Convention was signed in Hague (the Netherlands) on 6 February 2017.

The document envisages introduction of amendments to the Convention aimed at expanding effective mechanisms for exchange of information in tax sphere in order to prevent tax evasion.

This international agreement will help strengthen Uzbek-Dutch cooperation in combating tax violations and ensure compliance with the tax legislation of the two countries.
