Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the BRICS Parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg, Tanziila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, met with Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was marked by satisfaction over the fact that in recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have reached the level of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance. This has been made possible thanks to open and trustful communication, as well as the strong political will of the leaders of both countries.
The main topic of discussion was the further development of inter-parliamentary relations. They discussed holding the next meeting of the inter-parliamentary commission between the Senates of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as drafting a new "roadmap" for cooperation.
Agreement was reached on the need to strengthen interregional ties, including exchanging experiences between territorial representative bodies and enhancing their cooperation.
There is hope for the continued constructive development of cooperation between friendly countries and fraternal peoples based on mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests.
