Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek Ambassador Oybek Shakhavdinov held a meeting with István Gál, Chief Operating Officer of the Hungarian travel company Proko Travel, Dunyo News Agency reports.

During the talks, the Hungarian side praised the active development of relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary, particularly in the context of expanding tourism cooperation. István Gál emphasized that this growth is important not only for strengthening bilateral ties but also for promoting the economic development of both countries.

The head of Proko Travel noted that the resumption of direct flights between Tashkent and Budapest, which started on 30 June, has been a significant step and a strong incentive for increasing the number of Hungarian tourists visiting Uzbekistan.

The meeting also discussed plans for organizing joint events in the tourism sector aimed at attracting more Hungarian tourists to Uzbekistan.
