Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the visit to China of the delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov, a number of important meetings were held, Dunyo reported.

At a meeting with Vice Premier of the State Council of China Liu Guozhong, it was noted that stable and strong ties have been established between our countries, which meet the interests of the two countries in the trade, economic and investment fields.

Separately, it was noted that at the end of 2022, China became the second largest trading partner of Uzbekistan, mutual trade reached almost US$9 billion.

Last year, 275 new enterprises with the participation of Chinese capital were created in our country, today more than 2,100 enterprises with the participation of Chinese investments operate in the republic.

It was also emphasized that in 2016-2022, Chinese companies and the PRC Government invested more than US$10 billion in Uzbekistan in areas such as oil and gas exploration, textile and chemical industries, infrastructure, transport, telecommunications and construction.

The importance of expanding cooperation between our countries in various fields, applying Chinese experience in the development of agriculture, efficient use of land, and also in the social sphere was emphasized.
