Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Oybek Shakhavdinov met with the managing directors and founders of the pharmaceutical company Meditop Pharmaceutical Ltd, David Greskowitz and Zoltan Ach, and also visited the production sites and research and production laboratories of the company, where he got acquainted with the latest technologies, processes development, production and packaging of medical products, reports Dunyo news agency.
At the meeting they talked about the investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan, its potential in the pharmaceutical field, as well as the activities of leading pharmaceutical enterprises in the country.
It was especially noted that pharmaceuticals are one of the priority areas of Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation.
During the negotiations, prospects for expanding cooperation with the Meditop were discussed. Its representatives emphasized that the company is committed to the comprehensive expansion of its presence in Uzbekistan, including as part of the implementation of an investment project for the production of innovative drugs.
Issues of registration of a wide range of drugs produced by Meditop in Uzbekistan were also discussed.
For the Hungarian economy, the pharmaceutical industry is one of the traditional and most innovative sectors: about 90% of production is exported. Hungary is one of the twenty largest countries exporting and importing pharmaceutical products.
We remind you that the company Meditop Pharmaceutical Ltd, which has patents for 13 types of drugs, exports its products to almost 20 countries, including Germany, Vietnam, and Japan.
In an interview with Dunyo news agency, Meditop director Zoltan Ach noted:
- Our pharmaceutical company was founded by David Greskowitz and me. We are seriously thinking about expanding the presence of our company in Uzbekistan. This is one of our main goals. Your country will become our hub in Central Asia. We have opened our representative office in Uzbekistan and are registering our drugs. Today we are exploring new opportunities to strengthen our cooperation, which can expand the geography of exports and imports. We also developed a project for a production facility for the Meditop company for the production of innovative medical products in the city of Tashkent or the Tashkent region.
