Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A trade and economic forum dedicated to the "One Belt, One Road" initiative was held in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, China.

The event was organized by the Chinese non-governmental organization "Ambassador’s House" and the Yiwu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps from Beijing and Shanghai, as well as about 50 companies from Zhejiang Province, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the conference, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai presented the export potential of Uzbekistan and opportunities in the tourism sector.

Participants were particularly informed about the opportunities and benefits created in Uzbekistan for foreign entrepreneurs, as well as the achievements in investment cooperation and trade.

The event also included discussions on the possibilities of further developing cooperation between companies from Zhejiang Province and Uzbek businesspeople. Detailed answers were provided to questions raised by representatives of Chinese companies.
