Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Jasur Karshibaev, Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, met with Timur Kunambaev, Senior Manager for CIS Countries and Head of the Investment Banking Division at JP Morgan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of international financial markets, Uzbekistan’s prospects for cooperation with global financial institutions, and key trends emerging in the current market environment.

Jasur Karshibaev provided insights into the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at developing market mechanisms, ensuring the stable operation of capital markets, and improving the investment climate.

It was also emphasized that investor interest in the stability of Uzbekistan’s financial system, its investment attractiveness, and the financing of large-scale projects is growing.

The JP Morgan representative shared an analysis of the current macroeconomic processes in the region and the state of global financial markets. Examples of the bank’s financial operations with other countries were also discussed, offering an opportunity to explore potential formats of cooperation with Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to comprehensively examine the implementation of new financial instruments and the execution of new projects in the Uzbek market with the participation of JP Morgan.
