Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25-29 August 2019, a delegation of the Agrobank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank of Uzbekistan headed by chief consultant manager Abdurakhmon Sherov visited Israel.

According to the information of the Embassy of our country, negotiations were held at the Israeli state foreign trade risk insurance corporation ASHRA, which specializes in insurance of political and commercial risks of Israeli companies carrying out projects abroad, and one of the largest Israeli banks, Bank Hapoalim.

Alex Averbukh, director of the ASHRA marketing and business development department,  and the Uzbek delegation discussed issues of establishing cooperation in the banking and financial sector, the participation of the Israeli state corporation in financial support of joint business projects implemented in Uzbekistan, including in the field of agriculture.

During a meeting with Erez Francis, head of the export and finance department of Bank Hapoalim Bank, ways to expand interbank cooperation were discussed, including the issues of attracting and using borrowed resources of the Israeli side for practical implementation of agreements between representatives of business circles of the two countries.

In order to familiarize themselves with the technologies of microirrigation used in Israel and explore the possibilities for their widespread adoption in Uzbekistan, the Uzbek delegation also visited the agricultural production and farms of Israeli companies Gadot Agro and Metzer, which opened a joint representative office in the republic at the beginning of this year.
