Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of participation in the International Tourism Exhibition Beijing Expo 2019, D. Narzikulov, Director of Tourism Development Department of the Samarkand region, met with the leadership of World Federation of Tourist Cities (WTCF)to discuss issues of further development of cooperation in tourism.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the organization of the WTCF interregional forum in the city of Samarkand.

WTCF - is an international tourism organization formed voluntarily with well-known tourist cities and tourism-related agencies around the world on the initiative of Beijing. Founded on 15 September 2012 in Beijing, WTTG has its headquarters and secretariat in Beijing, and its official languages are Chinese and English.

Official ceremony of awarding a certificate of membership in the WTCF to city of Samarkand will be held in September 2019 at the next Summit of the World Federation of Tourist Cities in Helsinki (Finland).
