Projects for the production of solar panels to be launched in Karshi and Nukus

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the end of 2024, projects for the production of solar panels with a capacity of 250 MW and 200 MW, respectively, will be launched in the cities of Karshi and Nukus. This was stated by Namoz Tolipov, head of the information service of the Uzeltechanoat association.

Tolipov also emphasized that during 2023, the production volume of enterprises in the electrical industry was 3.8 trillion soums, and the volume of product exports - US$1 billion.

About 95 exporting companies were able to export over 202 types of products to 68 countries. An important event was that 18 new enterprises for the first time had the opportunity to export their products.

In 2023, the companies managed to enter the markets of Great Britain, Germany, the Czech Republic, France and the UAE. Thanks to the advantages of GSP+, national electrical products appeared on the European market, and export volumes to Europe alone amounted to US$55 million.

It was also noted that within the framework of the Investment Program, investment funds totaling US$191.5 million were allocated, including US$88.3 million in the form of foreign direct investment.

It is planned that by 2024, production potential will increase by 20%, and export volumes will reach US$1.5 billion. As part of the localization program, enterprises will produce goods worth 2.4 trillion soums.

It is also planned to increase the processing of copper raw materials to 140 thousand tons and launch 5 projects worth US$55 million in the Mis-cluster area in Okhangaron.

In addition, a technology park specializing in the production of household appliances will begin operating in the Bukhara region.

By the end of 2024, projects for the production of solar panels with a capacity of 250 MW will be launched in the city of Karshi and 200 MW in the city of Nukus.
