The forum was supported by the Government of Uzbekistan and it was included into list of priority events of informatization in 2009, envisaged in the Programme “The Year of Harmonically Developed Generation”, UzACI reported.
The forum was aimed at familiarizing with new developments of the software, exchange of experience with leading specialists in development and introduction of software, discussion and developing proposals on institutional support on software industry of the country, improvement of legal base, etc.
Representatives of Microsoft, Softline, Intellegent Solutions, M-Portal, Unicon.uz, Berkano Plus, New Century Technologies Group, local universities participated at the event. The forum was held in three sections: Actual problems and perspectives of software industry of Uzbekistan, Open Source Software: products and solutions and IT education.
In the result of discussions, the participants adopted recommendations of National Programmers Software BEST SOFT UZBEKISTAN 2010 on further development of software in Uzbekistan.
