Programme adopted to develop tourism in Ferghana region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Some 5.67 billion soums will be directed to development of hotel business, tourism infrastructure, organization of events on increasing export of tourism services, as well as training of skilled personnel in Ferghana region in 2011-2012.

These measures are envisaged at the programme of targeted measures on developing tourism and increasing export potential of tourism services in Ferghana region in 2011-2012.

In the hotel sector, it is planned to construct new hotel complexes Qoqon Savdo LC and Qoqon Tashrif LLC with 24 and 17 rooms respectively. Additional 20 rooms will be created at Dangara Hotel. It is also planned to reconstruct Ziyorat hotel complex with 140 rooms and repair Adras hotel.

Uzbektourism national company said that the part of the budget of the programme will be directed to reconstcition of Miyon Hazrat mosque and Norbutabay madrasah in Qoqand city.

Musuem-gallery at Jomiy Mosque in Qoqand city will be interesting place for tourists. In Rishtan district, tourists can familiarize with traditions and customs of Uzbek hospitality at complex, which will include museum of ceramics and national tea house, which will be opened in 2012.

At the same time, it is planned to hold annual international fair “Honey Holiday” at participation of Ferghana Regional Beekeepers Union.
