Professionals of tourism industry familiarize with Zaamin potential
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The UNDP Project “Local Governance Support: Participation and Partnership” (LGSP) presented a tourism and investment potential of Zaamin district of Jizzakh region at the annual tourism forum Uzbekistan International Travel Workshop, which was held at InterContinental Hotel in Tashkent on 23 April 2012.
The presentation is aimed at presenting potential of Zaamin tourism zone to tour firms and operators as one of tourism destinations.
Zaamin did not attracted tourism industry as perspective sector, which could lift well-being of population and help to develop economy of the region. The LGSP is trying to demonstrate tourism potential of Zaamin.
The LGSP helped to create brand and promotion strategy of Zaamin, organize trainings for local population, helped to organize guest houses, etc. Currently, the website of Zaamin is under development.
It is planned to install road signs and information boards along tourism routes, natural sights and archeological monuments by the end of May. Information materials, souvenirs and promo materials for popularization of Zaamin zone are developed.
During the event, the guests received detailed information on Zaamin and offered tourism routes.
