Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – During President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Ferghana, a professional agricultural school named after Lola Murotova was inaugurated.
Lola Murotova was a Hero of Uzbekistan, a distinguished worker in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decorated with the orders "El-yurt hurmati" and "Fidokorona khizmatlari uchun." She devoted her entire life to agriculture, achieving great success and respect in society.
To pass on her rich experience to the youth and train middle-level professionals in agriculture, this educational institution has been established.
The head of state inspected the facilities created here.
The professional school is designed for 480 students and prepares them at the initial stage of vocational education. It includes over thirty classrooms, seven laboratories, computer rooms, a conference hall, and a museum. Additionally, students have access to a dormitory with 150 places, a sports hall, a mini-football field, a workshop, a greenhouse, and a training racetrack.
The institution accepts graduates of 9th grade from secondary schools. The educational process is based on programs of initial vocational education integrated with practical training.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev recalled Lola Murotova’s years of hard work and her personal qualities.
"Lola-opa showed what Uzbek women are capable of, while remaining very modest and humble. Through her dedicated work, she made a significant contribution to the development and improvement of our country. These qualities should serve as an example for the youth, who should deeply learn the profession," said the head of state.
The school will introduce training in entrepreneurial skills in agriculture based on Germany’s experience. For the quality organization of the educational process and provision of methodological support, the school is affiliated with Ferghana State University. Additionally, a "School for Farmers" will be established within the institution. Through funding from sponsors, courses for the professional development of farmers will be organized.
