The production of KAMAZ trucks was established in Uzbekistan as a result of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia on 4-5 April 2017.

The presentation was attended by the representatives of the KAMAZ, the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, ministries, departments of the Republic and business partners Uzavtosanoat and UzAutoTrailer.

The production of KAMAZ vehicles was started at the production facilities of UzAutoTrailer LLC, located in the city of Jambai in the Samarkand region.

During the presentation, visitors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the KAMAZ model range of Uzbek production. Dump trucks of various load-carrying capacity, tractors, special equipment, container carriers, tent semi-trailers, refrigerators and other KAMAZ vehicles are presented.

This model of KAMAZ is equipped with a Daimler engine with a level of environmental friendliness of EURO 5, the design of the cabin, the development of the running and braking systems are performed in conjunction with the specialists of the German automotive concern.

Visitors of the exposition were also met by the legendary sports truck of the KAMAZ-master team, the fifteen-time winner of the international rally-marathon Dakar among world manufacturers of trucks.

At present, the model range of trucks KAMAZ, assembled at the UzAutoTrailer plant, consists of 11 types of equipment with a carrying capacity of 10 to 36 tons. The engines with which these vehicles are equipped have a power of 240 to 401 horsepower and meet the environmental standards of EURO 3, EURO 4 and EURO 5.

The first batch of KAMAZ trucks in the amount of 100 units has already been produced at the UzAutoTrailer plant in the 1st quarter of 2018. The production capacity of the plant is 1,500 units per year, followed by an increase to 3,000 units per year.

KAMAZ vehicles produced at the UzAutoTrailer plant will be supplied not only to the local market, but also to the countries of Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

"We have high hopes for expanding cooperation, as it gives a good opportunity to unite the potential of the two countries and enter the third markets with a competitive product - to the markets of the near and far abroad," said Kagozin Sergey, Director General of PJSC KAMAZ.

"The commencement of production of KAMAZ trucks at the facilities of our plant is a new stage in the development of the company, as well as another important step in high-tech cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia," said Hajibaev Alisher, CEO of UzAutoTrailer. Together with KAMAZ, a separate strategy is being developed for the organization of a modern dealer and service network in all 12 regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the output of Uzbek production to foreign markets. I am confident that these trucks will perfectly recommend themselves not only on the roads of Uzbekistan, but also on the roads of our good neighbors and other partner countries. "
