Uzbekistan produced 13.5 million square meters of non-woven materials like fabric in the reporting period, which grew by 0.2% year-on-year.

Production of knitwork in Uzbekistan grew by 7.8% year-on-year in January-September 2011 and made up 51.8 million units.

The volume of produced ready-made garments rose by 72.5% year-on-year in January-September 2011 to 39.5 billion soums.

In the reporting period, the enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 7,772 tonnes of stockinet, which fell by 13.5% year-on-year.

Production of raw silk threats grew by 44.8% to 131,000 tonnes, carpets and carpet products fell by 11.2% to 426,200 square meters.

The enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 934,000 square meters of fabrics with use of chemical fiber, which rose by 33.6% year-on-year.

Production of hosiery products grew by 89.2% year-on-year to 851,400 pairs in January-September 2011. Uzbekistan also manufactured 3.4 million square decimeters of leather products.
