Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The resolution of the President "On measures for the further development of the silk industry" was adopted.

According to the resolution, the faculty of "Sericulture and mulberry growing" was opened at the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies.

  From 1 March 2023 to 1 January 2026, enterprises for the processing of cocoons and the production of silkworm cocoons will be allocated a subsidy in the amount of 120,000 soums for each box of silkworm grenades delivered by them directly to persons involved in the cultivation of silkworm cocoons.

From 1 April 2023, the single term for calculating the formation of overdue receivables for export operations of its silk products produced by enterprises within the Uzbekipaksanoat Association is set at 360 days from the date of registration of the cargo customs declaration.

From 1 March 2023, the procedure for exporting raw silk will be simplified.

The period of validity of tax and customs benefits provided for by the resolution of the President has been extended until 1 January 2026.
