Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan hold meeting at tri-border junction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 January 2025, a meeting took place in Ferghana region at the point where the borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan converge. The delegations were led by the prime ministers of the three countries.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev; Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdullah Aripov; and Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda.

The event was organized within the framework of previously agreed-upon discussions by the presidents of the three countries regarding the demarcation of state borders.

The main objective of the meeting was to further strengthen cooperation and promote regional integration.

The choice of the meeting location underscores the desire for unity among the peoples of Central Asia.

The participants highlighted the importance of good-neighborly relations and the political will of the leaders, which contribute to advancing interstate relations to a new level.

During the talks, the parties discussed plans for joint activities and emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in trade, economy, logistics, water-energy management, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Special attention was given to cross-border cooperation, which is a key driver in further strengthening the partnership ties.

The prime ministers expressed confidence that such meetings would contribute to transforming Central Asia into a region of stability, peace, and prosperity.
