Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov along with the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin visited the exhibition of the Caucasus Investment Forum in Grozny.
The leaders of the governments of Russia and Uzbekistan explored the stands representing the regions of the Caucasus and presented investment projects from the Republic of Chechnya, Dagestan, Stavropol Krai, Ingushetia, North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygea, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia. Projects such as "Kavkaz.RF" and "RusHydro" implemented in the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) were also discussed.
During his visit, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov held talks with the Head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
The Caucasus Investment Forum provides a platform for presenting investment projects, discussing key issues, assessing the investment potential of the NCFD regions, finding new solutions for business, and forming effective government-business interactions to develop the investment potential of Russian regions.
The event took place from 15 to 17 July in Grozny, gathering leading experts, opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, delegations from foreign countries, key investors, and representatives of various development institutions, credit organizations, and regional leadership from the North Caucasus.
The forum’s goal is to stimulate the development of the NCFD regions and attract domestic and foreign investors. In 2024, the forum expanded its program to cover not only strategic development directions of the NCFD but also issues related to the Southern Federal District, CIS countries, Caspian, and Black Sea basins.
The business program of the forum included over 60 events dedicated to entrepreneurship development, agro-industrial complex, transport infrastructure, industry, energy, banking sector, international cooperation, healthcare, humanitarian agenda, media space, creative industries, and domestic tourism in the North Caucasus regions.
The key agenda of the business program was to discuss the strategy for socio-economic development of the NCFD until 2030 and its implementation plan, as well as the investment and tourism potential of the region.
The business program was attended by members of the government, heads of regions, representatives of Russian and international companies, banks, media, expert and scientific communities.
The exhibition program of the forum showcases the diversity of the North Caucasus, its culture, traditions, and investment potential, as well as the achievements and opportunities of the NCFD regions. Breakthrough investment projects of the region are presented at ten regional stands.
