Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 March, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met with the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the CPC XUAR of the People’s Republic of China, Chairman of the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China Erkin Tuniyaz.

At the meeting, it was noted that bilateral relations are strengthening, and close, trusting and friendly ties between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping are becoming increasingly significant.

In recent years, interregional cooperation has been developing at a rapid pace. Just last year, our country was visited by the leaders of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Shaanxi, Shandong, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Anhui and other provinces.

During the dialogue, the need to further expand work in this direction was noted, as well as to continue the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in investment, industrial cooperation, energy, transport and logistics sector, agriculture, education, tourism and other areas.
