Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over the past week, for the period of 3-9 October, goods worth 2.56 trillion soums were sold on all trading platforms of the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchanghe (UZEX), which is 14.1% less than the previous week.
Of these, 79.4% of sales came from exchange auctions, 0.2% - from exhibition and fair sales, 20.2% - from government purchases, and 0.2% - from online auctions of license plates.
The total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 574.2 billion soums. As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 84.0 billion soums.
During the period under review, 1,820 license plates were sold in the amount of 6.0 billion soums through an online auction. As a result of competitive bidding, 3.7% of completed transactions were for premium autonumbers; 7.4% of transactions for the 2nd category; 7.3% for the 3rd category; 10.3% for the 4th category; 23.7% for the 5th category; as well as 47.6% for the 6th category of license plates.
Exchange
During the reporting period, commodity resources worth 2.03 trillion soums were sold at open exchange auctions. Selling enterprises put goods up for exchange auctions in accordance with the approved schedules, including:
A drop in prices was recorded on the sugar exchange market. During the past week, 10,400.0 tons of sugar were put up for sale, of which 10,215 tons were sold, that is, 99.8% of the volume. An average of 295 buyers took part in exchange trading daily. The daily volume of sugar sales averaged 2,043.0 thousand tons.
During the period under review, the daily average price for sugar of all categories decreased from 11.67 million soums to 10.61 million soums per ton, or by 9%.
Last week, 40,801.0 tons of grain were sold through exchange trading. An average of 63 buyers took part in exchange trading daily. The daily sales volume averaged 8,160.0 tons.
During the period under review, the daily average price for grain decreased from 3.62 million soums to 3.51 million soums per ton, or by 3.2%.
On the exchange market of liquefied natural gas, a decrease in prices was recorded. During the past week, 2,310.0 tons of liquefied gas were put up for sale, of which all 100.0% were sold.
During the period under review, the daily average price for liquefied gas decreased from 4.34 million soums to 3.96 million soums per ton, or by 8.7%.
As a result of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for liquefied gas amounted to 4.12 million soums per ton.
