Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over the past week, that is, for the period from 24 to 30 October, goods worth 2,53 trillion soums were sold on all trading platforms of the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which 5.4% less than the previous week. 

Of these, 78.5% of sales came from exchange auctions, 0.2% - from exhibition and fair sales, 21.1% - from government purchases, and 0.2% - from online auctions of license plates. 

The total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 572.4 billion soums. As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 93.6 billion soums.

During the period under review, 1,559 license plates were sold in the amount of 5.0 billion soums through an online auction. As a result of competitive bidding, 7.2% of completed transactions were for premium automobile numbers; 10.1% of transactions for the 2nd category; 7.8% for the 3rd category; 9.9% for the 4th category; 17.1% for the 5th category; as well as 47.8% for the 6th category of license plates.

Exchange trading

During the reporting period, commodity resources worth 1.98 trillion soums were sold at open exchange auctions. Selling enterprises put goods up for exchange auctions in accordance with the approved schedules, including:

Sugar

A drop in prices was recorded on the sugar exchange market. During the past week, 10,000.0 tons of sugar were put up for sale, of which 9,850.0 tons or 98.5% were sold. An average of 320 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.

During the period under review, the daily average price for sugar of all categories decreased from 10,890.0 thousand soums to 10,807.0 thousand soums per ton.

Based on the results of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for local sugar of the TC-2 category amounted to 11,205.4 thousand soums per ton.

Cotton fiber

Last week, 1,436.0 tons of cotton fiber were put up at exchange auctions, of which the entire volume was sold. The daily sales volume averaged 287.0 tons.

During the period under review, the daily average price for all varieties of cotton fiber decreased from 23,717.0 thousand soums to 19,879.0 thousand soums per ton, or by 16.2%.

Compound feed

During the past week, 20,559.0 tons of compound feed were put up for sale, of which 10,821.0 tons, or 52.6%, were sold.

During the period under review, the daily average price for mixed feed decreased from 2,171.0 thousand soums to 2,137.0 thousand soums per ton, or by 1.6%. An average of 107 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.
