Prices for mining and quarrying grow by 13.6%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A distinctive feature of the nine months of 2017 compared with the same period of 2016 was the acceleration of price growth rate in the mining and quarrying, where prices have increased by 13.6% since the beginning of the year.

The most significant growth in prices was registered in June 2017 (by 10.3%), when according to the registers of the Ministry of Finance higher prices for crude oil, natural gas and natural gas condensate were introduced.

Tariffs for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning in January-September 2017 increased by 5.8% (average monthly increase by 0.6%).

The main result was increase in prices and tariffs for heat and electricity by 13.4% and 6.9% respectively, gas for underground coal gasification by 7.5%, as well as the decrease in tariffs for distribution of gaseous fuels through pipelines by 4.5%.

In January-September 2017, prices in manufacturing industry increased by 2.1% on average per month (in the same period of 2016 – by 1.2%). In the water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation, the average monthly increase in producer prices for 9 months of 2017 was 1% (in January-September 2016 – 0.3%).
