Prices for electricity, natural gas increases in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prices for electricity and natural gas increased in Uzbekistan from 1 April 2011.

According to Uzbekenergo state joint stock company, the cost of 1 KWH electricity increased from 76.8 soums to 83.6 soums. The growth rate made up 8.85%.

The price of 1 KWH electricity in houses, equipped with electric ranges, grew from 38.4 soums to 41.8 soums.

The cost of 1 cubic meter of natural gas for population now is 79.9 soums against 67.5 soums. If there is no gas meter, the cost of 10 cubic meters for gas, used for food preparation and hot water supply, makes up 1,381.4 soums against 1,167.16 soums and for heating – 640.6 soums (earlier 541.16 soums).

Last time, the prices for electricity and natural gas were increased in October 2010.
