Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 July, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Türkiye warmly congratulated the Uzbek leader on his birthday, wishing him good health, prosperity, continued success in his state activities, and peace and well-being to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.

The two leaders discussed current issues related to the further expansion of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, as well as the deepening of multifaceted cooperation.

They expressed satisfaction with the high level of interstate cooperation achieved. The dynamic growth in mutual trade, freight transportation volumes, investments, the number of joint ventures and airline routes was highlighted. Cultural and humanitarian exchanges have also intensified.

Special attention was paid to the thorough preparation for the upcoming meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, which is expected to give additional impetus to the strengthening of the partnership.

During the conversation, the leaders also exchanged views on pressing issues on the regional agenda.
