Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Following bilateral negotiations, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan participated in the ceremony marking the launch of major cooperation projects.

Specifically, the construction of two solar power plants with a total capacity of 400 megawatts in Ferghana and Namangan regions was initiated. The electricity generated at these plants is planned to be supplied to the Kyrgyz Republic.

A plant for the production of modern passenger cars and commercial vehicles was also inaugurated in the Chui region. The plant will produce vehicles under the brands Cobalt, Onix, and Tracker, as well as trucks.

Additionally, the production of knitwear and textiles commenced in the city of Kara-Balta. The enterprise has been equipped with modern technological equipment.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan expressed confidence that these projects will contribute to the expansion of mutually beneficial practical cooperation between our countries.
