Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

Sadyr Japarov warmly congratulated the Uzbek leader on his birthday, wishing him good health, family happiness, great success in his responsible state activities, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed in detail the priority issues related to the further development of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and comprehensive strategic partnership.

They noted with satisfaction the dynamic growth in mutual trade volumes and the successful implementation of industrial cooperation projects, including within the framework of the Joint Investment Fund. Special attention was given to advancing major regional infrastructure projects — the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway and the Kambarata Hydropower Plant.

The presidents also exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of upcoming bilateral and multilateral high-level events.
