Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed key issues of practical cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 April, on the sidelines of the Samarkand summit, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The leaders discussed the key issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, in the context of agreements reached during the recent informal meeting in Almaty.
Special attention was given to the adoption of coordinated measures to increase trade turnover, implement economic projects, and humanitarian programs, including initiatives at the regional level.
An agreement was reached to accelerate the work on launching the International Center for Industrial Cooperation.
The leaders also exchanged views on the regional agenda and reviewed the schedule for upcoming high-level events.
