Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to further improve the criteria for dividing business entities into categories, as well as tax policy and tax administration”.

According to this document, the following differentiation of business entities is introduced:

small businesses;

these include individual entrepreneurs, microfirms (income up to 1 billion soums) and small businesses (income from 1 to 10 billion soums);

medium-sized businesses (income from 10 to 100 billion soums);

subjects of large business (income from 100 billion soums and more).

As an experiment, until 1 October 2023, the Tax Committee has the right, on the basis of the tax gap indicator for the payment of value added tax, to exercise tax control in relation to all counterparties involved in the chain of operations for the supply of goods (services) for which value added tax has not been paid.

From 1 May 2023:

automobile gas filling compressor stations and automobile gas filling stations are required to use electronic measuring devices and online video cameras integrated with information systems of tax authorities in their activities;

operators of information systems for receiving and accounting for raw cotton, grain and rice are required to integrate their systems with the information systems of tax authorities;

organizations providing payment services, when making money transfers between individuals, draw up and issue electronic invoices for the services rendered (including if the received commission is “0” soums).

At the same time, proposals will be prepared to reduce (cancel) fees for processing, transfer and centralized storage of these electronic invoices and specific decisions will be made.
