Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 July 2025, during the second day of his state visit to Azerbaijan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Alley of Honor, the memorial resting place of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev.

The head of state laid flowers at Heydar Aliyev’s grave, paying deep respect and tribute to the memory of the outstanding Azerbaijani statesman and political figure.

Heydar Aliyev is rightfully regarded as the founder of independent Azerbaijan. Under his leadership, a solid foundation was established for the country’s dynamic development and the strengthening of its international standing.

His significant contributions to state-building and the affirmation of national sovereignty hold a special place in Azerbaijan’s history.
