President says he would not sign state budget for 2018
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that he will not sign a state budget for 2018, until the document is comprehensively and deeply studied.

It should be noted that previously the state budget was approved by the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

Uzbek leader said that he is satisfied with the debates in the parliament and acute issues, which were raised. But the President said that he would not sign the document. The president said that he will sign a budget, which will improve the life of the people.

Mirziyoyev noted that he had dismissed the heads of the Ministry of Finance, but nothing has changed.

"Let’s make every person rich, people pay taxes. If we scamper them, how will they pay taxes?”, President said.

President Mirziyoyev told Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov that he should update the Ministry of Finance.

The head of state noted that Kuchkarov was warned, if there are no changes, he will be dismissed in a month. “I do not need such finances,” he added.

"I fired Ella Ostrogojskaya (headed the Main Department of the State Budget of the Ministry of Finance), but I still feel her influence. Some work from the outside. I need a head of the Ministry of Finance, who loves the Motherland, Uzbek people,” the President said.
