The session summed up results of social-economic development of Uzbekistan for 2012 and approved main perspectives of economic programme for 2013.
Uzbek President stated that Uzbekistan introduced priority right of businesses, in line with which all unavoidable contradictions and vagueness in legislation in business activities and interpreted to favour of business entities.
He said that reforms of business environment are giving their first results. Uzbekistan jumped 14 places up in 2012 in World Bank’s Doing Business.
At the same time, Uzbek leader acknowledged that the country should do more in this direction. He said that Uzbekistan should regularly track adherence of business climate to international practices and adopt corresponding decisions. He said that Cabinet of Ministers should carry out this, while State Committee of Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition should work on this direction on systematic bases.
