Uzbek President signed a decree “On measures on further improving system o management in the sphere of culture and sport” on 16 February 2017.

The Ministry of Culture and the State Committee of physical culture and sport will be created on the base of previous Ministry.

Uzbek leader approved main tasks of the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee of physical culture and sport.

Mirziyoyev ordered to create the state establishment “Uzbekkonsert” on the base of Uzbeknavo and Uzbekraqs. Off-budget Fund on development of culture and art will be created at the Ministry of Culture.

President instructed to liquidate the creative-production association Uzbekteatr, special fund Artmadad and Uzbekmuzey fund with the transfer of functions and property of these organizations to the Ministry of Culture.

Uzbek leader also handed over some objects to new ministry. The State Committee of physical culture and sport also received large number of sport objects.
