Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The organizational issue of electing the Chairperson and Deputy Chairpersons of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan is being discussed at a session of the Senate.

According to Article 101 of the Constitution, the President has proposed the candidacy of Senator Tanzila Narbaeva for the position of Chairperson of the Senate.

It was noted that Tanzila Narbaeva has extensive experience in state and public administration. Her effective work in this position has contributed to significant improvements in ensuring the rights of women and children, as well as protecting their legal interests.

The candidacy of Senator Sodik Safaev has also been recommended for the position of First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate, and Senator Amanbay Orynbaev for the position of Deputy Chairperson.

The session is currently ongoing. Issues related to the organization of the Senate’s activities are being considered, and a dialogue between the President and the senators has begun.
