President of Uzbekistan to visit Russia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov is to pay an official visit to the Russian Federation on 14-15 April on the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.

During the visit the heads of our two states are expected to discuss issues concerning the further development of bilateral cooperation and exchange views on pressing regional and international topics.

Kremlin press service said that Vladimir Putin and Islam Karimov will meet on 15 April 2013 to discuss all complex of the Uzbek-Russian cooperation in politics, trade-economic and other spheres in context of implementation of the declaration on deepening strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia, signed by presidents of two states on 4 June 2012 in Tashkent.

Leaders of two states will also exchange opinion on actual issues on regional and international policy and security, situation in Central Asia, fight spread of terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and organized crime.

Documents planned to be signed in Moscow include the 2013-2017 program for economic cooperation and agreement on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments. These and other papers anticipated to be inked are designed to materialize the provisions of the Declaration on Enhancement of Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation penned on 4 June 2012, by the presidents of our two nations.
