Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – At the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kazakhstan from 7-9 August 2024, for an official visit.
The program includes negotiations between the heads of state and the first meeting of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council chaired by the Presidents. Discussions will focus on further deepening Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance relations, as well as relevant aspects of international and regional agendas.
Key areas of attention will be the expansion of practical cooperation in trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, and water management, among other priority areas.
A substantial package of documents aimed at strengthening bilateral relations is expected to be signed.
During the state visit, business and cultural events will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan, including the unveiling of a monument to the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi.
On 9 August, President Mirziyoyev will participate in the next Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State and the first Central Asia + Japan Dialogue Summit, which will be held in Astana.
