It is expected that the Uzbek President Islam Karimov will hold negotiations with Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Naoto Kan.

During the visit, issues of expansion and deepening of the Uzbek-Japanese cooperation, as well as important problems of regional and international character will be considered.

The sides are planning to sign a number of bilateral documents aimed at deepening interaction between the two states in various fields.
