Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Astana on 3-4 July to participate in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the "SCO Plus" format meeting.

The summit agenda includes pressing issues related to the further development of multifaceted cooperation within the SCO and the improvement of the organization’s activities. International and regional cooperation issues will also be discussed.

The summit is expected to conclude with the adoption of the Astana Declaration and a package of documents aimed at expanding partnerships in various fields, including economy, security, ecology, energy, tourism, and many other areas.

During his stay, the leader of Uzbekistan will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations.
