Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Board of the largest Hungarian bank - OTP Bank - Sándor Csányi.
During the meeting, the positive dynamics of cooperation in the banking and financial sector were noted with satisfaction, including within the framework of the completed transaction for the sale of the state share in Ipoteka Bank to the OTP group.
The head of our state emphasized the importance of improving the quality of the bank’s services through their digitalization, introducing innovative and accessible financial products for small and family businesses, and training staff in the best European practices.
Issues of further deepening cooperation with leading Hungarian enterprises in the field of agriculture, winemaking, irrigation, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and other industries were also discussed, including on the basis of a special economic zone created for Hungarian companies in Tashkent region.
In turn, Sándor Csányi confirmed the intention of Hungarian business to actively expand its presence in the market of our country.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the board of OTP Bank expressed deep gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for the high assessment of his activities and the presentation of the state award - the Order of Dustlik.
