Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 October, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the leading Korean company SK Group, led by its chairman, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Korea Chey Tae-won.

The head of our state noted with particular satisfaction the progressive development of Uzbek-Korean relations of special strategic partnership, primarily in the trade and economic sphere.

At the meeting, issues of expanding practical cooperation with the SK Group on the implementation of high-tech projects, in particular the organization of copper foil production in the Tashkent region, were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to promising projects for the deep processing of raw materials and the production of finished products with high added value. Plans for training engineers and conducting scientific research in the semiconductor industry were supported.

The importance of the active participation of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in attracting direct investment from leading Korean companies to implement joint cooperation projects in priority sectors was emphasized.
