Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a resolution approving an international agreement on comprehensive partnership in the field of migration and mobility between the governments of Uzbekistan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

This agreement was signed on 15 September 2024, in Samarkand during the visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Uzbekistan.

Under the document, the Migration Agency has been designated as the responsible authority for external labor migration, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been assigned the role of the competent body for readmission.

The Cabinet of Ministers, along with the heads of relevant ministries and agencies, has been instructed to ensure proper oversight of the implementation of the agreement’s provisions once it officially enters into force.
