Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 6 February, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the development plans for the chemical industry in 2025.
In recent years, the industry has undergone significant changes, and favorable conditions have been created to attract investments in new technological chains. However, the operations of major chemical enterprises still do not meet modern requirements.
During the critical meeting, current issues in the industry were discussed. The president pointed out unused reserves and existing problems that require immediate solutions.
Special attention was given to the accelerated implementation of advanced technologies, which, according to the president, will significantly increase the added value at chemical enterprises. He also emphasized the importance of increasing the number of high-tech investment projects in this sector.
The government was given specific instructions to promptly address the issues, fully unlock the industry’s potential, and expedite the implementation of key projects.
Additionally, responsible officials were tasked with introducing digital technologies at enterprises, ensuring the most efficient use of production capacities, improving energy efficiency, and reducing production costs.
