Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 August, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Board of the leading European OTP bank Shandor Chanyi as part of a stay in Budapest.

The head of our state noted with particular satisfaction the successful implementation of the first major business cooperation project with Hungary - the entry of OTP Bank into the Uzbek market.

It was emphasized that the successful privatization of Ipoteka-Bank became an important signal and increased interest in our country from foreign investors.

At the meeting, issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of the banking and financial sector of Uzbekistan, including improving the quality of services, introducing innovative and affordable products, primarily for business, were discussed.

The importance of launching effective financial instruments to support and promote joint projects as soon as possible, including in the field of industrial cooperation, agriculture and other priority sectors, was noted.

The head of the bank, Sandor Czanyi, sincerely thanked the leader of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions for expanding the investment activities of Hungarian companies.
