Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the sidelines of an international forum in Ashgabat, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.
During the talks, the leaders discussed key issues related to further deepening the multifaceted Uzbek-Iranian relations.
The leaders highlighted the positive momentum of active contacts and fruitful cooperation at various levels, which has been accompanied by increased trade turnover and a rise in the number of joint ventures.
The heads of state emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to support and accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects, as well as expanding the range of products under the existing Preferential Trade Agreement.
Additionally, the parties exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues.
