Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 September, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by Chen Min’er, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Committee.

Chen Min’er conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China to President Mirziyoyev.

The meeting focused on further deepening Uzbek-Chinese cooperation and practical interaction based on high-level agreements. Active regional dialogues were highlighted as a key area of interest.

The high level of Uzbek-Chinese friendship and all-weather strategic partnership achieved in recent years was noted. Particular attention was given to promoting projects with leading companies from Tianjin in sectors such as trade, industry, green energy, infrastructure construction and modernization, agriculture, textile, and pharmaceuticals.

The importance of expanding programs for innovation, education, and cultural exchange was also emphasized. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop a "roadmap" for mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and the city of Tianjin.
